Can you put a top coat/sealer on the paper ? Something like a water based poly ?

I think the contact paper would melt with the poly mixture on top of it. Lol I did mine with just the contact paper. Some fading from things being slid across it. But no problems beyond that. Remember to use cutting boards!

Can this be used as wallpaper on a painted wall? Will it stick? Will it damage underlying wall on removal?

It will stick, but when we tried to take it off the backing separated and we had to scrape it off the walls damaging the paint.

Will this stick well to a slightly textured surface? My countertop in bathroom is textured.

The adhesion is very strong so it might. I only used it on a smooth surface so I can’t really speak to that, sorry.

How long will it last on a countertop before needing replacement?

I have it also on my kitchen counter tops and its pretty heaving traffic in that area, I’ve had it on for a few months and no sign of needing to replace. Now that’s good contact paper.
