The guide is intended for people who want to build a one-person, four-wheeled electric vehicle powered by a lithium-ion battery. I tried to make the guide simple and understandable for everyone. I describe the course of work step by step, and the photos posted make it easier to understand the issue. I present a list of the elements necessary to implement the project.
The vehicle I present is powered by two BLDC motors mounted on the rear wheels. A 48 V power source mounted under the seat allows for several hours of uninterrupted driving, after which the vehicle should be charged from a home socket or renewable sources. The vehicle is equipped with lighting, a dashboard with a speedometer, an ammeter, and a voltmeter. It has a multi-link suspension and shock absorbers that increase driving comfort.

The included 26 drawings and 9 photos make it easier to understand the course of work. Placing the motors on the axis of the wheels does not require the use of a drive, so it excludes a toothed belt or a chain. This limits the mechanical resistance.

The power source is a 48 V lithium-ion package, which allows for several hours of uninterrupted driving, after which we can recharge it from a home socket or from renewable sources.

The four-wheeler has a long travel multi-link suspension and shock absorbers. The suspension has a travel of 4” (100 mm). This gives great driving comfort in difficult, bumpy terrain.

Reverse gear is realized by means of a switch.

The vehicle has Regenerative Braking System. When the brake pedal is depressed, electric motor braking is additionally activated.

The quadricycle can be equipped with front and rear lighting, brake lights, a dashboard with a speedometer, ammeter, and voltmeter. The meter informs about the instantaneous current consumption and the current voltage of the battery, i.e. the degree of its discharge.

The gross weight of the vehicle is 185 lbs (84 kg).
